Maynard Public Schools is pleased to host a strategic planning session on November 30 from 6:30-9:00 PM at the Fowler Library.
This session will provide guidance to the district as we design a strategic plan that will establish a strategy to align our resources to meet the Core Values of the district.

Maynard SEPAC 6th Annual Winter Social
The Winter Social will be held on December 1st from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The Winter Social will be in the Green Meadow Cafeteria. There are many exciting activities including Cookie decorating, crafts, music, goodie bags and snacks. A Message From the Athletic Director:
The fall season is coming to an end and there was great seasons by all the teams. The football team finishes off the Fall with their Thanksgiving game vs. Clinton at Alumni, senior day activities at , kick-off at .
Thanks to all the athletes who participated in the yard clean-up to benefit the Council on Aging. A special thanks to Thyme in the Garden for providing their technical assistance. I hope this community service project becomes an annual event.

It is my pleasure to announce that the following MHS musicians auditioned for and made Sr. Districts. Incredible!
Grace Wilson on trombone
Helen Gerondeau on french horn
Matt Schomacker on trumpet
Emma Bendall on bassoon
Sam Jones on tenor voice
Charlie Neuhauser on bass voice
We also had a few students miss it by only 1 or 2 points. They competed against nearly 1,000 students from over 60 schools!
Grace, Helen, Sam and Charlie scored so highly, they will be auditioning for All-State in January.
Congratulations to all of these talented musicians and to all the students who auditioned for this competitive festival!
The Second Annual MHS Powderpuff Game
The MHS Junior class is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Powderpuff Football Game on Tuesday the 24th of November at 6pm. Come out to Alumni Field to see the girls of MHS play some football and support the class of 2017! Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. The annual bonfire will also be taking place on the basketball courts Tuesday night to keep everyone warm. See you there!

The final Core Values Logo results are in. The logo designed by Chris Obrien who is a Maynard Resident, parent and professional graphic designer was the winner.

Bullying Plan Public Comment
The School Committee reviewed the Bullying Plan last night at their school committee meeting. The School Committee already received and reviewed some community input through the online survey that was sent out. We are continuing to provide the community an opportunity to provide input on the Bulying Plan for another week at this link:

THE 6th MAYNARD HALL OF FAME BANQUET AND INDUCTION CEREMONY
The Maynard High School Athletic Hall of Fame (MHSAHF) Board is proud to announce its 6th Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2015, 6 PM to 11:30 PM at the Maynard Lodge of Elks, 34 Powder Mill Road, Maynard. The past five events have been a huge success and have sold out!
At this special event, a formal induction ceremony will take place for the sixth set of inductees to the Maynard High School Hall of Fame, including James Aulenback, Michael DeMars, Charlotte Dzerkacz, Joseph Dzerkacz, Gina Terrasi Gallagher, Michael Graceffa, Blair Harrington, William Jarmulowicz, James Marcey, Michael Mullin, the 1986 MHS Football Team and John Tobin for the Black & Orange Award.
It is always a great evening of celebration and a great opportunity to see friends and classmates of Maynard High School. The festivities will include a cocktail hour (cash bar) followed by a buffet dinner from 6:30 PM to 8 PM, followed by the induction ceremony and ending with a social.
This banquet is open to all!
