Superintendent's Notes

A Message from the Fowler Art Teacher, Sean Perham

Six Bridges Art Gallery in conjunction with The Fine Arts Theatre, graciously hosted "Rhythms" Dance Party and Art Auction. This was a funding raising event held this past spring to help support the visual arts curriculum at Maynard Public Schools.  An evening of live music and dance was followed by a silent auction of beautifully painted and themed, chairs designed by the artists of Six Bridges Gallery.

Fifty percent of the proceeds from this auction have been generously donated to the three art teachers at Maynard Public Schools.  The support from our local community shows the importance visual arts makes in a well rounded curriculum for our students.  Like so many school systems, Maynards art program has faced many budget cuts in recent years however through the help of our community of artists; they have filled this gap by supporting of the next generation of artists.   A huge thank you is in order for Six Bridges Gallery and The Fine Arts Theatre your generosity has helped promote the creative potential of Maynard’s young artists.
