The New Maynard High School Community Tours and Annual Thanksgiving Bonfire

The new Maynard High School will be open for community tours on Monday afternoon November 25 before the Annual Thanksgiving Bonfire. The tours will run from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and the Bonfire will start at 5:00 p.m. at the Alumni Field Basketball Courts. All are welcome. Rain Date Tuesday, November 26.

The New Maynard High School Community Tours on Thanksgiving Day Morning

On November 28, the new Maynard High School will be open for community tours before the Thanksgiving Day Football Game which starts at 10:00 a.m. Tours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Come see the new High School and watch a great football game!

The Official Maynard High School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Maynard Community is cordially invited to attend the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at Maynard High School on Saturday, December 7, 2013.  Reception and Tours will be from 12:00p.m. – 2:00 p.m. the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 1 Tiger Drive, Maynard, MA  01754.

An Invitation to the Bullying Prevention and Intervention Public Comment Forum

The Maynard Public Schools Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan Public Comment Forum is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Fowler Library between 6:30 and 7:30 PM. 

I have included the current Maynard Public Schools Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan with the recommended tracked changes on the Maynard public Schools home page at,

As a complimentary document I have included a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Check List that has been used to verify that this document contains the required content.   

In an effort to streamline these notes, I will remind the Superintendent’s Notes readers of important upcoming events with a reference to the blog where more information can be found.

Beautiful Custom Built Dollhouse Raffle to benefit the Maynard Food Pantry

 This beautiful dollhouse will be raffled off this fall, with proceeds benefiting the Maynard Food Pantry. Raffle tickets will first be available for $5/ea or 5/$20.  Middlesex Savings Bank, 17 Nason St, Maynard has generously offered to display the dollhouse and sell raffle tickets on behalf of the Maynard Food Pantry through Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 12 noon.  The raffle winner will be chosen at 12 noon on Saturday, November 16, 2013.  You do not have to be present to win.

All Community Winter Concert! Wed. Dec. 18th

If you play a band instrument or sing and would like to be part of this special event, please e-mail Mrs. Blanchard at so that we can get the music to you. We welcome all alumni and anyone living in the town of Maynard or having a connection to the town, to come and perform with us!

Remembering Maynard's Own (RMO) Fundraiser

An original Remembering Maynard's Own Quilt created by Pauline Mclaughlin will be raffled.  Tickets are $5 each.  Checks can be sent to Remembering Maynard's Own Quilt, P.O. Box 268, Maynard, MA 01754.
